Book Review: MAYBE NOT by Colleen Hoover

Genre: New Adult
Publication Date: November 24, 2014

When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change.

Or maybe not.

Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.

Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?

Maybe not.

This book was exactly what I needed and I didn't even know it was coming. It was pure fun that had me laughing and laughing and enjoying reading like I truly was having the best time ever. It was awesome!

I met Warren in Maybe Someday and in that book he was so funny and liked him a lot but in Maybe Not he's beyond hilarious and now I totally love him. Actually, now that that I think of it, what makes him so incredibly funny are the most silly things ever but that works perfectly because that's how Warren is. In this book he's all about letting loose, pranks, and conquering the heart of his very mean roommate Bridgette.

“Why does she have to be so damn mean? Mean girls are my weakness, and I think I just now figured that out.”

The fact that she's so difficult to approach, understand, and just get along with makes her that much more desirable to Warren. He's set to break all her walls and see what's under all that tough and sexy exterior he can't stay away from. So his pursuit for Bridgette is a total roller coaster of excitement and craziness; from the sex escapades, the pranks, the fights, and to the realization that he really wants her, this book is a total ride of fun.

“She’s so confusing. She’s so frustrating. She’s so damn unpredictable.
She’s nothing I’ve ever wanted in a girl. And absolutely everything I need.”

This is a novella and I can't believe I had so much fun with such a short story. Colleen sure does an amazing job at making this one a vibrant story full of fun, sexiness, enough angst to make it sweet and romantic at the right moments. I just loved it from beginning to end! If you've read Maybe Someday this is a novella you don't want to miss because Warren will totally steal your heart with laughter.

“She’s the best worst thing that’s ever happened to me.”

I recommend reading this novella after Maybe Someday just because there are a couple of spoilers there that should be revealed only when you read the book. But don't worry, both of these stories are total must reads from me so no sacrifice there just pure enjoyment. ;)
