4 LAUGH-OUT-LOUD STARS!
Oh, I missed my Wallbanger! It was so nice to read about Caroline and Simon again in this sequel of Wallbanger. This couple is not your conventional couple so hence the many twists and turns in their dynamic relationship. Now their new challenge is to grow up in their relationship which is very scary for them and the way they go about it made me laugh so much.
In Wallbanger they fell irresistibly in love through their crazy banters and in Rusty Nailed they're still over hills in love with each other but things are changing and expectations of where their relationship should go are creating some juicy tension...
Caroline is a young business woman who's used to feeling free and living in the moment. However, when new career opportunities come her way to fulfill her but also to stress her out of her mind she doesn't feel so free anymore. Moreover, all that stress gets in the way of her and her sweet Wallbanger. Now Simon alias "Hottie-Hot Wallbanger" is a traveling photographer living his life half around the world and half at home with Caroline in their "perfect" free-spirit relationship. But as incredible his life may seem Simon has a past which he still struggles with and needs to confront.
So Simon's baggage, Caroline's new stressors, and some lack of communication are the perfect combination for the funny disaster this story was all about. A disaster full of silly misunderstandings that only Alice Clayton could make so hilarious. But throughout the craziness the sizzling connection between Caroline and Simon always shined and I loved that. They were really crazy for each other and it showed every time. I didn't think Simon could be more of a sweetheart but he was. He was funny, understanding, sexy, and totally charming. Caroline was indeed one lucky girl.♥
And to add to the funny disaster there was also the crazy best friends. There's a whole gang of friends in this story and everybody has their own drama which only added to the banters, jokes, and escapades. It was hilarious.
Overall, I really liked Rusty Nailed, it was a light drama story meant to make you laugh, relax, and savor and I did all three! If you've read Wallbanger you should read this book because you already know how funny these characters can be. And if you haven't read Wallbanger, well what are you waiting for? That book is a must read! ;)
"So are going to say hi to your boyfriend who flew all the way across the glob jus to show you his hammer, or are you going to punch me again?"
"I winked at him, feeling a thrill rumble through me when he looked at me who those heavy lidded eyes. Dam., that man got me."
"It's impossible for me to love you more," I whispered, kissing his forehead.
"Dressed in black pants, a white button-down, and a leather jacket, he was sophisticated but cool. A man about town, a globetrotter, a secret cat whisperer who would sell his soul for an apple pie. And he was mine.
After working for years in the cosmetics industry as a makeup artist, esthetician, and national educator for a major cosmetics company, Alice picked up a pen (read laptop) for the first time at 33 to begin a new career, writer. Combining her love of storytelling with a sense of silly, she was shocked and awed to be nominated for a Goodreads Author award in 2010 for her debut novels, The Redhead Series.
Alice has penned three novels, The Unidentified Redhead,The Redhead Revealed, and coming soon in November 2012, Wallbanger. She thinks you should purchase them immediately. She’s not kidding, not even a little bit. Everyone needs some comedic erotica in their lives. She is hard at work on the third book in The Redhead Series, set to release in Spring of 2013, continuing the saucy and sexual escapades of everyone’s favorite couple, Jack and Grace.
Additionally, Alice loves spending time with her besties on Not Your Mother's Podcast, make sure you check them out at notyourmotherspodcast.com or over on iTunes. 3 women rushing towards their forties still acting like teenagers. A saucy little mix of sex, love, relationships, pop cultural, celebrity gossip and All Things Jake Ryan.
Alice enjoys pickles, Bloody Mary’s, 8 hours of sleep, and a good pounding.
Finally Alice would also like all her readers and listeners to help her convince Mt. Alice that the only other thing that would make her truly happy is finally bringing home a Bernese Mountain Dog. She is totally serious. And done talking about herself in the third person…
