REVIEW

5+ TRUE LOVE STARS!

After finishing Connected and reading the ending I couldn't wait to start Torn. I had so much anticipation and anxiety over what was going to happen to my dear Dahlia and River. Well, this book didn't disappoint at all because it was absolutely incredible!

In Torn we have Dahlia and River happy and very much in love with each other. They're ready to start a life together but everything is put on hold when someone from Dahlia's past comes back and changes everything. Huge secrets are revealed that make Dahlia feel torn, confused, and betrayed. Yes, even betrayed by River because he had some secrets of his own. River on the other hand feels threaten and fears losing his beloved Dahlia. So there's anger, confusion, and doubt in their minds but to stay together both Dahlia and River have to stay true to their love for each other and learn to trust again no matter what.

In Connected I loved Dahlia but now I adore her! I was so afraid that the turnaround of evens were going to cloud her judgement and have her make the wrong decisions but they didn't. Even during the turmoil she always knew what felt true in her heart and there was no doubt what her choice was going to be since the beginning and I so loved her for that. She fought for River like I wanted her to fight for him by always showing him that they were meant to be together and that there was nothing they couldn't overcome.

I didn't think River could be any more perfect but HE WAS! He was so perfect to me because he showed his imperfections. He had fears, insecurities, and doubts that were only the result of his immense love for Dahlia. This captivating man only wanted to protect her and never cause her pain but in doing so he put their relationship at risk. Moreover, some situations create friction between them that make River doubt himself. But this is the kind of man that would have gone to space and got Dahlia the moon if she asked so above it all River never gave up on his love for her. He was even more romantic, passionate, adorable, funny, and intense than before. Again, the perfect hero and and so much more.♥

Kim Karr stole my heart once again with her writing in this book. It was soulful, insightful, touching, romantic, and just mesmerizing. She not only made me fall in love with the main characters but also made me understand and sympathize with others as well. I loved that because by looking at this story through different eyes I was able to see that everybody in this book is a very human character with mistakes and feelings of their own. And with that in mind I'm really looking forward to reading the next books in this series. ;)

This was a beautiful and perfect sequel to Dahlia and River's story. There was enough angst to get my heart racing and enough romance to make my heart melt. The ending was so moving and romantic making it the perfect ending for this unforgettable couple.

Torn is a story about true love and how that love overcomes everything at the end. When a connection is made like the one Dahlia and River had nothing can come between that love because that's the truest and most beautiful of loves.♥♥
