Book Review: LOST TO YOU by A. L. Jackson

Lost to You is the prequel of Take This RegretSince I just recently discovered this amazing series, I read Lost to You first and I'm glad I did because I got to appreciate the characters without knowing anything before hand and it set the tone for Take This Regret

You can read Lost to You before or after, it doesn't make too much of a difference. :)

This book was so beautiful!

A.L. Jackson's writing is amazing, so rich, descriptive, and full of raw emotions. This book was so intense that it made cry several times because I felt every emotion that Elizabeth and Christian described. Oh, yes and the characters were incredible too!

I adored Elizabeth; she was such a strong character and yet the sweetest. Her innocence and determination to protect herself were admirable. I loved Christian with his cockiness and his flaws. He's not a typical hero but more of a human character. I really got to understand and appreciate him as he describes his feelings and emotions.

Lost in You takes you into the journey of the beginning of Christian and Elizabeth's love story. They meet in college at a cafe after being paired as study partners. Their attraction for each other is instant. Christian wants to pursuit that attraction but Elizabeth decides that she can only offer him friendship. So their relationship starts as a friends and it grows from there. But tension and conflict get in the way later forcing them to confront their feeling and make ultimate decisions.

This novella truly stands on its own; you could read it and never read Take This Regret (you should definitely read it though!) and be more than a satisfied/happy reader. I totally loved it!

Favorite Quotes:

"Elizabeth had gotten under my skin. Exposed who I really was just by reflecting her light into me."

"And he was anything but plain. This beautiful man stole my breath with a simple look and had me shaking with the mere brush of his hand."
